I am tired of hearing "love yourself and everything will change".
The word love, I believe is used so flipantly now that we are lost .

2. a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection, as for a parent, child, or friend.

4. a person toward whom love is felt; beloved person; sweetheart.

Ok so I need to profoundly experience tenderness and offer myself passionate affection. Too funny I say .
For me loving myself involves honouring and respecting my individuality whilst exploring whats seems like negative and positive parts of myself.
When we trust ourselves we can be the best possible version of ourselves.
When we challenge ourselves to continually grow and evolve we will experience resistance and self sabotage simply because we are going against learnt behaviours and inbedded beliefs systems.
When we break away from the patterns and start forging our own direction people will also offer much resistance.
This for me is when I know I need to dig deeper into my truth and allow what feels right to shine. Importance here is what "feels right". Not what I think is right.
Many of us , me included fold and drop back into our patterns and yet this too is important in the journey of self love. We get extra opportunities to revisit our love and potentially realign our goals/dreams. I found myself recently back again in a familiar place and yet I know its different as I have a clearer awareness of what I want and what I dont want.
Don't beat yourself up, simply allow for more clarity. We need all experinces to create deep lasting self love.
